Solar quotes can be hard to compare. One proposal may include a battery, another may not. Grant treatment, BER paperwork, export assumptions, warranties and roof layout can all change the real value of the quote. SolarGuide is designed to help homeowners slow that decision down and ask better questions.

Who is Ben?

Ben Luong is the named contact for SolarGuide.ie and CopperChunk Limited. The project is being built as an independent Irish solar information and lead enquiry site, with installer claims, corrections and commercial placements reviewed separately from homeowner guidance.

What SolarGuide does not do

SolarGuide is not a solar installer, engineering practice, grant authority, financial adviser or regulated energy adviser. The content is general guidance. Homeowners should confirm grant eligibility with SEAI, technical suitability with a qualified installer and electrical/grid requirements with the relevant professionals before committing to work.

How trust improves over time

The directory is intentionally cautious: unclaimed listings are labelled, profile details can be corrected, and paid placement does not replace homeowner checks. The goal is to add stronger evidence over time, including SEAI registration checks, better installer photos, richer profile details, claim reviews and clearer editorial sourcing.
